Bayside Souvlaki Dromana – Authentic Charcoal-Grilled Souvlaki & Greek Takeaway in Dromana VIC

This is a really good place. I chose the Open Plate to takeaway - mixed lamb and chicken, bread, spicy capsicum dip, chips, a Greek salad and one drink. The food was all excellent. You get a very good amount of everything in this dish and everything was tasty as. The bread was fresh, the salad was crisp and as fresh as a daisy, the spicy capsicum dip was genuinely spicy and the chips were great too. I absolutely loved the meat as well. The service was impressive in the restaurant. Quick, organised and courteous, like they are keen to make their mark. This restaurant is a really impressive new eating option in the area

Finally tried this place out. Best by far in food and service on the Peninsula. Located beautifully with bay views. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Well where do I start with the main event. Brilliant Gyros without a doubt. I chose lamb with everything but no lettuce. Meat was oily but the flavours were perfect so I wouldn’t criticise it, up there with the best I’ve tasted. What’s a souvlaki without a little mess Tzatziki wasn’t overpowering but I love garlic anyway. Onion flavours for some reason stood out too unless I’m mistaken with herbs or something else. And meat cooked on Charcoal doesn’t get much better than that. Priced up there at $18 but it’s a seasonal location and the size and quality definitely reflects this. Next time I won’t need to order the chips on the side as it was filling enough Highly recommend and that’s coming from a self proclaimed souvlaki connoisseur

Well this is by far the best souvlaki we have had. The meat was beautiful and tender with a bit of crunchy as well. The meat is traditional and nicely marinaded and cooked over coals. We had a small serve of chips as well and they were great. We would highly recommend going to this little gem. Will come back sometime but as we don't live in the area, it might be a while.

A great local go-to for a satisfying and affordable meal!

We bought two souvlaki and used a voucher we won at the Dromana Australia Day festival for part of the purchase. Thank you for your community support. The service was excellent, fast and friendly but the best part was the taste. The lamb was DELICIOUS cooked perfectly with some yummy caramelised crunchy bits but not too dry just amazing. It was a good size too, love that there was no scrimping on the meat portion. We will be back for sure.
